I’m a student at Canterbury High School and had some inquiries about House of PainT. And if anyone could answer my questions I would really appreciate it.

1)What has been the most successfull factor in the success of House of PainT?
2)Have you seen a change in Ottawa’s attitude towards graffiti art since the initiation of House of PainT?

Anything would be very helpfull but i realize people are busy.
    Thanks a bunch.

Bonjour, the National Capital Commission is organizing a public art project for youth on the Rideau Canal Skateway in February 2010 to underscore the Skateway’s 40th birthday – here’s a quick overview :

The Rideau Canal Skateway team is recruiting youth (12 to 24 yrs old) for a graffiti-based visual arts project on the theme of past, present and future of the Rideau Canal Skateway. The concept is to have 10 giant cubes comprised of 8ft by 8ft wood panels with frescoes done by participating youth, using the medium of graffiti. The NCC will provide the wood panels and gift certificates to buy the material. We would like youth to participate in groups of 5, but they can also work solo. The material will be delivered to participating groups upon confirmation of participation, and picked up by the NCC on January 20th 2010. Youth will be fully credited and acknowledged, the NCC will have copyrights and participants will have to sign a release for us to broadcast the installation on our web site, you tube, etc.
The deadlines are extremely tight and we are currently recruiting youth. Would you have suggestions as to youth groups and/or organizations working with youth that we can contact in the next few days?
    Cordialement
